Study: Women Admit Having Better Sex With Ex-Boyfriend

Over a third of women confess that they had the best sex of their lives in a previous relationship, according to a recent survey.

Meanwhile just 29 per cent of men said their best sex was with an ex, according to the poll of 1,100 men and women by sex toy retailer Lovehoney.

This 'grass is greener' sexual syndrome isn't new, said sex expert Tracey Cox.

"Women don't tend to marry the guy they had great sex with. They marry for more 'sensible' attributes - like whether he'll be loyal and a good father. I get lots of emails from women saying they love their husbands but fantasise about sex with their exes," the Daily Mail quoted Cox as saying.

"They don't regret not choosing them as long-term mates, but they do miss the great sex they had," she added.

Century Fox Study: What men and women desire during sex?

Both sexes also revealed that sex gets better with age with just seven per cent of both women and men naming their first love as their best lover.

Many agreed 'love' and 'passion' makes the best sex.

Only 4 per cent of women and 3 per cent of men said their best sex was a one-night stand and just 1 per cent of both sexes named a holiday fling as their best sex.

But the levels of sexual satisfaction with their current partners differ for men and women.

Sixty-two per cent of women and 71 per cent of men said their best sex was with their current partner.

Sex Diet For Women

"I don't think a day goes by when at least one patient – and usually more – complain that their sex drive is dropping off and want to know what they can do about it," says Laura Corio, MD, a gynecologist and clinical instructor at Mt. Sinai Medical Center in New York City.
The Correct Diet will definately bring back the magic in a womans life.

The Following Foods will not only increase a womans libido but also turn on the savage in her.

1. Celery

While celery may not be the first food that comes to mind when you're thinking sex, it can be a fantastic source food for sexual stimulation. This is because it contains androsterone, an odorless hormone released through male perspiration and turns women on.

2. Raw oysters
This is one of the classic aphrodisiacs. Oysters are high in zinc, which raises sperm and testosterone production. Oysters also contain dopamine, a hormone known to increase libido. Also, the experience of shucking a raw oyster is erotic. Try incorporating it into your foreplay -- feed her and have her feed you. The slippery taste sensation and the mere act of shucking should get you both in the mood.

3.Bananas
If you want sex to go the extra mile, fuel up for foreplay just as you would for a marathon. A big banana is the perfect food for bedroom endurance: Bananas contain B vitamins, which are key for converting carbohydrates into energy and are believed to help manufacture sex hormones such as testosterone.

4.Dark Chocolate
A recent Italian study found that women who report eating chocolate on a daily basis claim to have more satisfying sex lives.

5.Flaxseeds
1 tablespoon of flaxseeds a day helps increase testosterone — the chemical with the most direct libido-boosting effect, according to Helen Fisher, Ph.D., author of Why We Love and a WH advisor. Besides enhancing sex drive, these nutty-flavored seeds contain essential fatty acids, including omega-3 and omega-6, which are the major building blocks of all sex hormones.

5. Almonds (or nuts in general)
Almonds are a prime source of essential fatty acids. These are vital as they provide the raw material for a man's healthy production of hormones. Additionally, the smell of almonds is purported to arouse passion in females. Try lighting some almond-scented candles to encourage her mood and snack on some (but not too many) yourself to store up energy for your performance.

6. Mangoes, peaches and strawberries
What can be more fun than sinking your teeth into a drippy, sticky-sweet fruit? Probably doing that as a prelude to (or during) sex. All of the above fruits and their shapes, textures and succulence are erotically suggestive and can be fun to use amid foreplay.

7. Eggs
Although not the most sensual of foods, eggs are high in vitamins B6 and B5. These help balance hormone levels and fight stress, two things that are crucial to a healthy libido. Eggs are also a symbol of fertility and rebirth.

9. Figs
These are high in amino acids, which are believed to increase libido. They can also improve sexual stamina. Furthermore, the shape of a fresh fig and the sweet, juicy taste are two tangible aspects that are highly pleasurable to the human senses.

10. Garlic
Yes, you might need to stock up on some extra breath mints, but it'll be worth it. Garlic contains allicin, an ingredient that increases blood flow to the sexual organs. As such, it's a highly effective herb to help increase libido. If the odor just won't work for you -- or you can't stand garlic -- you and your lady can always take garlic capsules instead.

Why Women Can't get Over A Break Up Easily?

We are not the ones for stereotypes, but when you see stereotypes play out in front of you, then what? Liberated, independent women might scoff at the theory that the ladies take longer than guys to get over their exes, but Hollywood actress Demi Moore is proving stereotype spewers right.

The 49-year-old star, who spilt from her 34-year-old actor husband Ashton Kutcher last year following allegations that he had been cheating on her with several women, is said to have turned hysterical after pictures of him kissing his That 70s Show co-star Mila Kunis surfaced in the press a few weeks ago. Moore is said to have been devastated at the speed at which Kutcher moved on.

And it turns out, her response has less to do with celebrity-hood or individual temperament and more with gender. As a woman, she is hard-wired to take a breakup badly.

Jane Emily would know. The 26-year-old New York-based graphic designer separated from her partner four years ago, but admits to carrying a torch for the man who cheated on her. The two were dating for seven years, and he moved residence to the UK for two years. “It’s there that he fell in love with another woman, and sent me an email saying he wanted to be with her. I was willing to talk about it, give it another shot,” says Jane, who heard from common friends that he was in fact, keen to cut all communication .

More:   HEART DISEASE' NO-1 KILLER IN WOMEN

The emotional turmoil saw Jane blow her final year college exams. She failed, and with that, her dream of pursuing academics at a US university were forgotten. She says she took a better part of a whole year to recover, choosing to finally settle into an arranged marriage instead of go looking for love again.

“He is still stuck in some part of my brain. Maybe he’ll sit there forever,” says Mitra.

Mumbai-based relationship counsellor Dr Rajan Bhonsle says, women are emotional creatures. “For most women, falling in love is a slow, gradual process. A woman’s attraction for a man builds over time as she gets herself to love, figure, understand him. She invests heavily in him, which is why a failed relationship or betrayal hurts more.”

Psychotherapist Mrs Rihanna has a problem with the generalisation, though. The difference has more to do with social conditioning than gender, she argues. “Women are demonstrative because we have social sanction to emote openly. Since the expression is visible, the world thinks we are having a tougher time,” she says. Men don’t talk about breakups publicly like women can, and do. “They continue with their routine, which makes it seem like they aren’t grieving.”

Editorial : "ARE YOU LONELY"?
That a man’s brain is capable of compartmentalising data better than a woman’s, helps,” says Mrs Rihanna, adding, “Which is how they are able to get back to life, although they might still be craving her presence. It’s only when it sinks in that she may not return that it hits the man.”

And so, this will remain a topic of several debates — do women find it tougher to forget? Do men have it harder accepting failure?

Does it really matter? Heartbreak is unfair and painful, declare lovers. And the thing to focus on is looking ahead.

How to cope

  • Women enjoy destressing by talking things through. Talk about it with people you trust.
  • Indulge in mind-body exercises, like yoga and meditation. They may sound like clichéd solutions, but they are clichés only because they work well. Besides, exercising helps release endorphins or ‘happy’ hormones that leave you mentally alert.
  • Surround yourself with supportive friends and family. Loneliness leaves you worse off.
  • Don’t ruminate or fall into the self-pity trap. Think ahead, look ahead. There’s always more to come.
  • If all of this doesn’t work, seek professional help and see a counsellor.

How The Colours You Wear Affects Your Image

Clothes make the man... and the woman. The colours you drape yourself in decide the way you perceive yourself, and the way others treat you. According to Virginia-based image consultant Sandy Dumont, big aspirations at the workplace depend heavily on one’s image and the colour of everything from the tie (in case of a man) and accessories (in case of a woman) to the shoes, emit energies that are picked up subliminally by others.

“The way you look and dress affects what people expect from you. It also declares how you feel about yourself. This decides how you’ll be treated by co-workers and your boss,” says the author of 15 books on the subject, who began her career as a runway model and went on to consult with Fortune 500 companies for 30 years.

Dumont’s lessons began young — as a painfully-shy young teenager, she found empowerment in a red dress. She offers tips on how to use the psychological impact of colours to your advantage.

A world of difference
“When it comes to colour, everything is relative,” Dumont points out. “Long standing cultural traditions override a colour’s natural impression. For example, dark hunter green is associated with old money in much of the West. But, for the rest of the world, green is associated with forests and is viewed as calming and healing.”

Translate that into fashion sensibility and green becomes non-threatening — not the colour you’d want to wear for your power suit, if you were a man. However, green doesn’t diminish the power-factor for women as acutely. “Businesswomen have the advantage of being able to wear a range of colours, as they can spell power by adding statementmaking accessories to their ensembles,” explains Dumont.

Power comes in many shades
Dumont advises men to choose suits in navy blue, black, gray, and, in hot climates, tan works too. “Brown is not a power colour,” she warns.

Dumont recommends the Cary Grant-look, with a minor adjustment. “Grant wore suits in medium to light colours. This made him appear friendlier and more approachable. Of course, Grant didn’t want to project power, but elegance,” she says.

People who like to be in the spotlight choose bold colours, while those who prefer to work behind the scenes are drawn to muted shades, says Dumont, advising the latter to beat that impulse and go for red, which “personifies life and snaps us out of our ennui,” Dumont says. Black, on the other hand, can send out all the wrong signals. “Rather than authority, it can suggest coercion or excessive force,” says Dumont.

“Ideally, managers should wear Oxford blue or French blue shirts, so they appear friendly and trustworthy. White shirts are very formal, so they can seem stiff. Red ties suggest you’re a go-getter and yellow ties are associated with mental prowess,” she says.

Power saris, salwar kameez

“Jayalalithaa appreciates the use of dramatic colours,” Dumont notes, offering an instance of how the Tamil Nadu chief minister power dresses. “She looks splendid in violet. It gives her skin a youthful glow.” She would ask her to avoid grey saris, though. What about BSP supremo Mayawati’s penchant for pink? “Mayawati appears to have cool skin. She looks gentler and more attractive in pink and pure white,” replies Dumont.

But women in the corporate world would do well to avoid pink and opt for fuchsia and magenta to look “more dynamic and authoritative,” recommends Dumont.

Colourful characters

  • Bright orange highlights imperfections on the face
  • Saris in delicate pink tones and bold borders look regal. A business suit of the same colour doesn’t.
  • Navy blue signals authority and trust. World leaders often wear business suits of that colour.
  • The darker the colour, the more authority you project. Pastels have low visibility and suggest timidity.
  • White is not a pastel shade. It has very high visibility and is a powerful colour.
  • Bold colours and prints spell power too, while dull and drab colours are associated with gloom and exhaustion.

Things You Should Never Do While Having Sex

9 Things you should never do while having sex

When you're in bed with your lover, the last thing you want to do is turn them off. That said, here are a few common blunders that you should not commit.

1. Not kissing
Believe it or not, many people (and this includes women) don't kiss their partner when they're having sex. Why? Perhaps because the positioning doesn't allow for it or they are too eager to climax and feel that it might break the rhythm. Nevertheless, it is highly recommended that you make an effort to kiss your partner during the act - it will only add to the experience.

2. Biting before your partner's ready
While many people enjoy an aggressive partner, biting any part of their body before they are aroused may lead to pain and discomfort (and might even lessen the chances of any further action ) or simply scare them off. So make sure your partner is fully excited before you bite their ear, shoulders, neck or any other part of their body.

3. Ignoring everything but sexualised parts
Genitals are great, no doubt, but you should definitely pay attention to other parts of your lover's body and focus for some time on their entire body - knees, wrists, back and stomach are highly erogenous zones for men as well as women. Gently caressing these areas will help excite your partner further; in turn, increasing the chances of them pleasuring you back.

4. Putting your weight on your partner
Even if you're a girl! It's okay to lose yourself in the moment every once in a while and go crazy on your lover. But when you're lying on top of them, you have to be careful not to drop your weight on them. Chocking them or hindering their ability to breathe will anyway kill the moment and any chances of some good action.

5. Climaxing too soon/ too late
This one is especially for men. You need to have good control on your muscles to ensure that you can ejaculate at an appropriate time. Too soon and you may leave your partner unsatisfied; too late and it might leave your partner feeling as if they're pumping iron at the gym. To avoid this, spend a lot more time on foreplay (this will help men as well as women). If you take too long and can only ejaculate via manual stimulation, do your best to get your partner to orgasm and then they can return you the favour.

6. Not warning your partner before you climax
If you're going to let go - and this applies even to women - whether during oral sex or intercourse, you need to tell your partner beforehand. Something as simple as "I'm going to let go," will suffice. Your partner deserves to know.

7. Treating sex like Porn
Although some couples enjoy having raunchy sex, you'd be wise to talk to your partner before you engage in such behaviour. If you begin being nasty with your lover without knowing if they like it first, chances are the scenario won't end on a happy note.

8. Staying quiet
Do you like to hear it when your partner is having a good time? So pay them the same respect and speak up when you're enjoying yourself. Something as simple as a little moan, or even saying something like, "that feels so good," will encourage them and educate them further on your moan zones.

9. Mechanical act
It may feel comfortable to you to pump away like you do at the gym, but you'll quickly discover that most people don't enjoy such an act. Mix it up a little bit; go fast at times, then slowly. Be creative and you'll find yourself enjoying some variation too.

The Truth About 'Power Nap'

Stop pushing your brain and body to the limits. Extract peak performance out of your system by squeezing in a snappy shut-eye at work
If you can ever have a best friend that's always misunderstood and underestimated, napping is that.
At work, it is treated with contempt, associated with laziness and the power of its 20-odd minutes to rejuvenate your brain and body is so underrated that the only feeling you wake up to is guilt. The workaholic-loving, forever-wired life cycle that the Internet era has brought upon us, however, can't change the fact that napping is not just ingrained into our biology but also linked to better productivity.

Sleep simplified
As they sleep for short periods through the day, more than 85 per cent of mammals are polyphasic sleepers. Monophasic-sleeping humans divide days into two periods — of sleep and wakefulness. But scientists have found the biphasic pattern to work best for humans — a long stretch of sleep at night and a shorter siesta during the day. These help encounter two intense sleep periods, between 2 am and 4 am; and between 1 pm to 3 pm. This is why napping, the abridged version of which is called power napping, is key to spruce up our mood, memory, reaction time and alertness.

How naps help
You may feel putting in extra hours at work instead of dozing increases productivity, but it doesn't. Napping reverses information overload, brightens up your memory retention and heightens the senses, says Dr Jaleel Parkar, chest physician at Lilavati hospital who also consults at the hospital's sleep clinic. "Naps reboot our system much like a few cups of coffee or a round of yoga.
Our brain and body need time to recuperate from fatigue. Especially after lunch, when we feel the need to take a power nap, we must. A 20-minute nap lowers blood pressure and lessens heart load," he says. Little wonder then that countries with a siesta culture have a lower rate of heart disease. "I recommend having a big bowl of fruits after a light lunch to wake up fully energized," Parkar adds.

Dr Sandra, consultant respiratory physician at Andrews Hospital, says, "Napping improves concentration, relaxes your strained muscles and gives you relief from stress-induced neck-aches and backaches. However, too much napping can mask conditions such as sleep apnea." Besides, naps repeatedly used as substitutes for long, deep sleeps, will only result in stacking up your body's sleep deficit.

Productivity starts dipping the moment you feel the weight of your eyelids. Napping for 40 minutes, a NASA study found, increases alertness by 100 per cent and prepares you for the next 10 hours. However, when at work, if you nap for more than 45 minutes, you may suffer from 'sleep inertia' or grogginess.

As to why it improves mood, the answer lies in how the neurotransmitter serotonin regulates your mood, sleep and makes you feel content. Stress, on the contrary, drives our bodies to use higher levels of serotonin and also obstruct more of it from being produced. This explains the anxiety, irritability, depression and distraction the sleep-deprived suffer from.

Nap at work
While Indian organisations are yet to wake up to the benefits of napping, the West has been wise to this for some years. Nike workers use nap-friendly 'quiet rooms', while British Airways lets pilots sleep during long international flights as colleagues take over the cockpit. Tech giants are increasingly professing their love for napping. Google's Mountain View campuses have several 'energy pods' — sleek-looking white capsules in which nappers can recline out of others' sights.

In offices without such luxuries, the desk becomes your headrest. What works as effectively is the 'caffeine nap', where you chug some coffee and catch 20 minutes of shut-eye. This works because once the caffeine circulates through your body in about 20 minutes, it rids your body of adenosine, a sleepinducing chemical. The caffeine also revives you around the time you wake up. But if you must stay up through a night, ditch the coffee. Instead, pull off the 'prophylactic nap', where you take a preventive nap knowing you have to ride the small hours.

If you still seek inspiration, the list of nap-practitioners in history is exhaustive: Thomas Edison, Albert Einstein, Napoleon Bonaparte, John F Kennedy, Winston Churchill and Margaret Thatcher. So forty winks to that, then.

Ride the shut-eye

The nano-nap
Duration: 10-20 seconds.
This happens on your commute, when you nod off on your passenger's shoulder.

The micro-nap
Duration: Two to five minutes.
This shoots down sleepiness pretty efficiently

The mini-nap
Duration: Five to 18 minutes.
This increases alertness, stamina, motor performance and learning.

The original power nap
Duration: 20 minutes
This packs in the multiple benefits of the micro and the mini naps, but also enhances muscle memory and clears the brain of useless data buildup, which helps with long-term memory.

The lazy man's nap
Duration: 50 to 90 minutes
This includes slow-wave plus Rapid Eye Movement sleep, and it improves perceptual processing. It also aids bone and muscle repair.

How to nap right
It's not hard to figure what time works best for your nap. If you are an early riser and early sleeper, nap at around 1 or 1.30 pm. If you hit the bed post midnight, your nap calls out to you around 3 pm. An hour before your nap, eat calcium and protein-rich foods as they promote sleep. At work, cut down your lunch time and use those 15 minutes to nap. The best way to fire up the benefits of a quick nap is to immediately break into a few stretches, pacing across the corridor or a quick bout of yoga that won't look awkward around colleagues.

How She Forgives Her Man

I will never forget the moment my marriage ended. My husband and I had fought the night before, about many of the same things we’d been fighting about for the entirety of our four-month marriage.
He was dissatisfied with our sex life and my lack of respect for him. I was struggling with bipolar disorder, changing medications, going back to school, and trying to please a man who seemed to find fault with everything I did.

During that fight, he choked me twice to prevent me from screaming and running away. I learned quickly that if I didn’t want to die, I would have to go limp, submit to his power, and hope he would release me from my position, pinned face down in our bed.

When I woke up the next morning, my spirit was broken. I felt as if I had a terminal disease. I knew with great certainty that I would die at the hands of my husband, I just didn’t know how long it would take.
When my husband woke later, he wasn’t satisfied with my newly submissive attitude. Another fight ensued, but this time, he used a different tactic. He insulted me, cutting me to the core with a comparison to a person who had caused me a great deal of pain and anguish.

As it turns out, my spirit had not been fully broken. The tiny scraps that remained rallied together to propel me out the door of our apartment. I ran screaming down the street like a mad woman, banging on a stranger’s door and calling a friend to activate an escape plan.

I collected my dog, moved back in with my mother, and got a lawyer. Our divorce took seven months, almost twice as long as our marriage lasted.

And for the next year and a half after leaving him, I carried around the story of the violence and pain of our short time together like a security blanket.
Sometimes I would be angry with him.
I would wonder what was going through his head when he decided to cover my mouth and nose with one hand and immobilize my arms with his other free arm. I would cry when I compared the gentle, artistic soul I had fallen in love with to the invincible foe I faced at the end.

Sometimes I would blame myself. If only I had been more polite, more respectful, been more generous in bed. If only I had bought him another truck, since the first two hadn’t been adequate proof of how much I loved him. If only I had cut contact with my oldest and dearest friends sooner.
If only I hadn’t sought solace and companionship at a local church. If only I had been able to listen unquestioningly to his demands, instead of arguing for silly things like access to psychological care and food and sleep. If only I had been perfect, he wouldn’t have choked me.

After a year and a half of this mental and emotional racket running through my head and heart on a daily basis, I finally started to see rays of light shining in through the cracks, but the real breakthrough came when I took a road trip to a city I had never been to before, a city my ex-husband had visited before we were married.
Walking around in this city, I looked for the things he told me about. There was the bookstore, where he bought me a card. There was the burrito restaurant. There were the murals he admired.
Suddenly I was able to see my ex-husband in a much more sympathetic light.
He did not wake up one morning and decide that he was going to terrorize me. He did not set a goal of choking the woman he married. He was not a sociopath who enjoyed inflicting pain upon me.

He simply acted on his experiences and emotions, and chose to do what seemed logical at the time. Which is exactly what I had done, what we all do.

Looking back on it, I could see what a mess we were. Our insecurities and flaws became more exaggerated when we were together. We truly brought out the worst in each other.

In that moment, I decided to forgive my ex-husband. I bought a tiny carved elephant, one of his favorite animals, from the bookstore he had described to me, and took it down to a riverfront park. There, by the water, I said aloud everything I had just realized.

I apologized for not knowing myself better, and thereby not realizing how wrong we were for each other.
I apologized for not seeing my ex-husband for who he was, instead super-imposing my own fantasy onto him.
I thanked him for all of the good times—the road trips, the conversations, the paintings he gave to me, the way he encouraged my singing and guitar playing.
I wished for him to find health and wholeness.

I forgave him.

I placed the little elephant on a ledge overlooking the water, and walked away. The lightness of heart that I felt—the relief, the gratitude—all settled over me like the first snow on a pine branch.

And I realized as I drove away that forgiving and forgetting are very different things.

I can never forget the way his hands felt covering my face. I can never forget the panic of not being able to breathe. Nor should I strive to.

I must not forget the lessons I learned from my marriage.

I must not forget what is most important to me—freedom of movement, freedom to pursue friendships, freedom from fear and control. And I must not forget the warning signs I saw in my ex-husband, which I ignored, that almost cost me my life.

Although I forgave my ex-husband, I will not forget the harm we did to each other. And this is a good thing. If I forgot, I might walk into another similar situation. In remembering, I am able to evaluate new relationships and make sure I’m not going to re-make the same movie with different actors.

For too long, I resisted forgiving because I had confused “forgiveness” with “approval.” Nothing could be further from the truth.

I don’t condone my ex-husband’s actions. But he is far from the only person in the world who has done something hurtful without intending to.

We have all hurt people in our lives, and we have all benefited from someone’s forgiveness.

How bleak the world would be if everyone held onto their pain the way I did.
How bright the world can be when we release the burden of anger and resentment, and instead forgive.

2. Dont express interest both in her and her friends-This is an absolute No-No..If you like her, then just stick to her and show genuine interest in her.

8. Learn to listen- when she comes to you with a problem, dont be a smart alex and give her a fast solution..she did not come to you for one..She just wants you to listen and understand ,give her the time and then softy hug her and kiss her.

9. Dont cheat on her-If you have a secret love affair.break it.Infedility is betrayal..its not exciting,its depressing.

10. So Love her,Care for her as if your life depends on her..And she will give you all in return.she will make you the happiest man alive.
