The recently-concluded TV show saw Khan taking up several social malaise and offering certain solutions through discussions at some times and debate at others.
Aamir Khan becomes the first male Indian actor to have made it to the cover of Time. With this achievement of his, Aamir Khan has catapulted himself to an envied echelon of Bollywood actors - a rank where only two other people belong to – Parveen Babi and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.

The cover of Time’s most recent issue has Aamir on it, featured along with his quest. The accompanying blurb reads, “He`s breaking the Bollywood mold by tackling India`s social evils. Can one actor change a nation?”

Aamir’s social awareness show ‘Satyamev Jayate’, which aired on television for thirteen weeks, saw the actor taking up issues which still plague the Indian society. The actor, in addition to garnering immense praise and sky-rocketing viewership, has also had to face the ire of certain communities, the Indian Medical Association and a Khap of Haryana being examples of the same.

The TV show helped in setting up fast-track courts in the country to deal with the issue of female foeticide, flagging off of generic medicine stores across the state of Maharashtra in the beginning and many other states following suit, and the like. The actor also met the Indian Prime Minister, Dr Manmohan Singh in order to discuss the issue of manual scavenging.

Other than Khan, Parveen Babi and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, other Indians who have graced the covers of the magazine include Rajiv Gandhi, Narendra Modi, Indira Gandhi, Sachin Tendulkar, Sania Mirza and Dr Manmohan Singh.
