MUMBAI: The International Cricket Council(ICC) has suspended the six umpires who seem to have been caught agreeing to 'fix' decisions in a sting operation by an Indian TV channel recently. The world body will take a further decision on these umpires after investigations in the case end.
The six umpires are Nadeem Ghauri and Anees Siddiqui of Pakistan, Nadir Shah of Bangladesh and Sri Lanka's Gamini Dissanayake, Maurice Winston and Sagara Gallage.
Member boards of the ICC, including the Board of Control for Cricket in India ( BCCI) have agreed with the decision to suspend the umpires.

"The ICC and its relevant Full Member Boards have agreed not to appoint any of the umpires named in a sting operation recently conducted by India TV to any domestic or international cricket matches pending the outcome of the ongoing investigations into the allegations made," ICC said in a statement.
All the accused umpires have denied the channel's claims and insist they were trapped by the channel. Pakistan umpire Ghauri has called the sting operation fake and said he is planning legal action against the channel.
